I assisted Jenni Metcalfe to run a workshop to guide participants to reach a consensus on water and fish research evidence and then to design and agree on key messages for a range of communication products.

These strategies resulted in three main products: developing the years-long Climate Champion program, the Climate Kelpie web portal, CliMag magazine, among supporting media coverage and fact sheets. The Climate Champion work with Australian farmers garnered a finalist spot at the 2015 Eureka Awards – a project that I managed at Econnect.

I was part of the team to survey, research, develop and plan the communication strategy. We then implemented plans for a new web portal, news website, internal newsletter, fact sheets, media outreach and more.

I analysed the interviews with people from DSTO to work towards a new outreach and engagement strategy. I wrote a report to contribute to and help guide the new strategy.

I was part of a team to survey needs for, plan, structure, create, research, write, edit, upload and code for the website. The website filled a gap for people looking to produce energy on a farm. We also interviewed, filmed and visited sites for case studies, then wrote those and produced these case studies, videos and photos.

I edited policy documents and case studies for the Reef 2050 plan – a critical set of documents for the key management agency for the reef. This work required careful adherence and sensitivity to policy and content guidelines, and style, of the agency.

I edited a paper which discussed sensory system investments for Queensland for CSIRO’s Data61. I ensured consistency, ease of reading, and error-free text, headings and captions.
